Defeating Valley Link

"Tom showed up early and kept coming back. He has the fire in the belly we need to stare down this project and win."
— Jen Strozier’s friend

Our rural communities are under threat from a deluge of data centers and the transmission lines and power plants required to support them. In an abuse of eminent domain, Dominion Energy and its corporate partners are attempting to force an “extreme, high-voltage” transmission line through nine counties of rural Virginia—without any right of local communities to block the project, no revenue or even access for local communities, and direct harm to thousands of acres of forest and farmland.1 The proposal comes as residents of this district are already paying skyrocketing utility bills because of data center demands and costs.2

Tom strongly opposes Valley Link, and he is not waiting until he is in office to fight Valley Link. Over the past few months, Tom has been in the fight alongside residents and community groups, raising awareness and donations for efforts to Block Valley Link. Tom is prepared to use his office in Congress to help communities defeat this project.
