CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — Former Congressman Tom Perriello today issued the following statement after Virginia state legislators released a map outlining new proposed Congressional districts:

“I am fired up to keep fighting for my hometown and the region that I love to get our voice back in Congress. Folks across the Blue Ridge and the Valley know that I have been fighting for decades to increase wages and access to affordable health care for families. From running non-profits to running peace talks, I have always stood up to bullies, so that everybody gets a fair shot, and I refuse to let the corruption and cowardice in this Congress stand. District lines may shift, but my values and commitments to working families across Virginia never will.”

Perriello has been endorsed by Senators Mark Warner and Tim Kaine, as well as by Governor Abigail Spanberger and Lt. Gov. Ghazala Hashmi.
